Carry on bags or travel bags can be difficult to pick because there’s so many different factors to consider. You need to think of size, comfortability of carrying and aesthetics of course. When choosing the right travel bag for you, you also need to think of wether it is a zip closure for safety when travelling, does it have lots of different compartments for better organisation or most importantly is it the right price for me. As this can be super difficult we have picked out some different options of all different price ranges, styles and sizes so you have all options to choose from.
July Carry all Tote Bag
Firstly we have picked the July travel tote. It is made with water resistant material which is great, anything to keep something looking new we love. Capacity wise this bag is 20L and weighs 1kg which is a pretty decent size. It includes a 15 inch laptop sleeve compartment, pass through band to slide over your luggage, which is perfect if you’re trying to juggle a thousand things in the airport. It also has an adjustable strap with leather padding which is honestly a great idea because it is so painful when you’re carrying your bag and it indents your shoulder because it is so heavy. So the fact that it is extra comfy on the shoulders is a really good bonus. Another thing we love is that it has a front access zip for items you want easy and quick access to which is ideal when you’re in a hurry. As well as this keeping an organised bag is so important when trying to find anything while you are away so the internal dividers really help keep the bag organised so you aren’t rummaging through it. The internal passport pocket is really convenient you don’t really want to be worried about loosing that and there is internal bottle holder and internal key hook which is an extra feature that we find really convenient. Finally the fact that is has It has a 5 year warranty in case of any damage is really important especially considering the price you are paying you don’t really want to be replacing it after a few uses.
· Made of water resistant material
· 20L capacity
· 15 inch laptop sleeve
· Pass through band to put on your suitcase
· Leather padding on bag strap
· Front access zip
· Passport pocket
· Internal bottle holder
· 5 year warranty

· Weight: 1kg
· Size: 42cm W x 16cm D x 33cm D
When weighing up the pros and cons for this tote bag we could really only find 2 things that could be a downside, the price and the weight. Considering all the features this bag does have, the quality of the bag and the long warranty we did decide that it outweighs the price tag but the fact that It does weigh 1kg can be a problem for some people who do travel heavy like we do as you need every kilo you can get but if this doesn’t bother you this bag would be a really good choice.

Next we have chosen the Monos metro duffel. This duffel bag is a bigger size with a 22L capacity but it only weighs 0.3kg which is so impressive. This bag is also water resistant and is made from either vegan leather ($370) or nylon ($320) both being scratch resistant and really sturdy long lasting material. This bag has a 15 inch laptop sleeve and inner side pockets so it is really easy to organise all your belongings so they are easy to get to. As well as this there is a trolley sleeve to slip this bag over any suitcase which makes carrying this duffel even easier and a metro classic kit which can be used to pack electronics or toiletries which is easy to detach if you don’t want to use it. This bag also comes with a 2 year warranty which is very important in case of any damages.
· 22L
· Made with water resistant material which is scratch resistant

Obviously the Monos metro duffel is rather pricey which is probably it’s biggest flaw, but you are paying for a long lasting material and the fact that it only weighs 300g with so many features to ensure this bag stays super organised, this would probably make the price worth it.

Antler Chelsea Overnight Bag
Next is the Antler Chelsea overnight bag. Honestly considering how well known Antler is we do have quite high standards for this bag. This overnight bag has a capacity of 20L and weighs 0.8kg. Similarly to the previous bags the Antler Chelsea bag is also water resistant and being made from nylon means it will be rather durable. Internally this bag has compartments for water bottles and slip pockets to help keep your bag organised. This bag also comes with detachable shoulder straps so depending how you prefer to carry your bag for your own comfortability, you have that option. What we do find most impressive about this bag though is the fact that is has a lifetime warranty
· 20L capacity
· 13 inch laptop slip pocket
· Detachable shoulder strap
· Compartments to fit water bottles
· Slip pockets for organisation
· Water resistant
· Lifetime warranty
· Different colour options
· Weight: 0.8kg
· Size: 41.5 x 26 x 18cm
Seeing as the Antler brand itself is known for being high quality and really durable you wouldn’t expect the price of this to be any less but considering you would only be spending this once to then have a lifetime warranty it seems very worth its price.

Minkars Weekender Bag
The Minkars weekender bag is a very good option considering the price and features it incorporates. Unlike the other bags we’ve chosen It has a shoe compartment under the bag, so if you do a lot of short trips you could use this bag instead of a suitcase, depending on how much you need of course. The Minkars weekender bag comes with a 15 inch laptop sleeve, a trolley sleeve to put over your luggage, a toiletry bag and a power bank pocket so you can charge your devices wherever you go. The power bank pocket is actually a really clever addition that separates this bag from the others. It doesn’t come with a power bank but if you do have one, it’s one of those things where you don’t realise how handy it is to have until you have it.
· Shoe compartment under bag
· 15 inch Laptop sleeve
· power bank pocket for quick and easy charging
· Trolley sleeve
· Toiletry bag
· Different Colour options
· Size: 43cm x 40cm x 20cm
While the price of this travel bag and all the features this bag comes does separate it from the others, the Minkars weekender bag is not water resistant and doesn’t come with any warranty but we think the fact that it allows you the option of a power bank and shoe storage really does make this bag stand out to us.

Bagsmart the Wanderland Travel Duffle
The Bagsmart wanderland travel duffle is also a really great option and is the cheapest one we listed but also really light at only 0.6kgs. The bagsmart travel duffle is water resistant and honestly considering the price it is something we didn’t think would be included, but are very happy it is. This bag comes with exterior side pockets so
If you want anything to be easily accessible you have that option and internally this bag has Interior zip compartments and laptop compartment so your bag will stay super organised. The bagsmart travel duffle also has a trolley strap to put over your luggage to make carrying this a lot easier. Though it doesn’t come with a warranty the features this bag comes with are very impressive for the price.
· Water resistant
· Exterior side pockets – front and bottom zip
· Interior zip compartment
· Laptop compartments
· Detachable shoulder strap
· Different colour options available
· Trolley strap
· Weight: 0.6kg
· Size: 46(L)x 23(W) x 37(H) cm
Honestly this bag is pretty impressive the only problem being there is no warranty and the durability of the material used could raise doubt over the longevity of this duffle but at the price it is we think it would be worth it.

All these bags are impressive and good choices but there are a lot of things to compare if purchasing one. If comparing the July tote and the Monos duffel the only difference would be the size, being that the Monos is bigger, the weight, the Monos being significantly lighter, and the material used. Other than those differences what the July totes offer is actually better value for money in our opinion. Again in comparison to the July bag looking at the price the antler bag is similar but costs more and again we feel like the July tote offers a lot more features for a much cheaper price. The size of the July bag is similar and the antler bag is slightly lighter but the main difference is the lifetime warranty of the antler overnight bag . If looking at the other two cheaper options though for the price you can excuse the fact that they don’t come with all the bonuses of the others just because the prices are so good. In saying that the Minkars weekender is a similar size to the July tote and while it isn’t water resistant or come with a warranty it does have other features, like the power bank pocket and shoe storage, that the other bags don’t and for a better price.
When it comes to choosing a bag though it comes down to what you need and what makes your travelling easier. Hopefully we’ve given you some good options and you’re able to find the perfect bag for you.
